This house isn't all that old, but suffers from a poorly designed floor plan. We'll be fixing that. |

The eat-in kitchen is cramped and claustrophobic. That will change. |

We'll be opening things up here too. |

The den will be incorporated into the house more fully once we're done. |

The bathroom is pretty basic. It will get a fresh look. |

The entryway will become more open and inviting. |

As you can see, space is an issue for this active family. |

As in most homes, storage is an issue. |

Now let's look at some AFTER shots!

The kitchen sink under the small window has been replaced by a cozy kitchen desk and bold colors are added to wash away the blah beige. |

The cramped dining area has been opened up dramatically. Other views will show you just how much! Instead of hiding the view behind shades, the window treatments bring the outside in, and allow the room to figuratively "breath". |

Cluttered and cramped has been replaced with spacious hallways and open views. |

Walls that used to be barriers are now elegant open staircases. Layers of color define spaces, and the beautiful hardwood flooring tie it together along with detailed ceiling cove molding throughout. |

Even a simple half-bath gets the detailed treatment to add interest and flair. |

I'll bet you don't have a chandelier in your half bath! |

Now this is an entrance you can be proud of! A raised ceiling with molding adds grandeur, and the wide unobstructed entrance encourages family welcomes, and leisurely farewells. |

Wasn't this where we saw nothing but clutter and obstruction before? Now it's inviting, bright and open (and 10:04 am)! |

Everyone knows that the best kitchens allow you to reach the stove, sink and refigerator in only one or two steps. Not only that, but Joe Paul has created a floorplan that is completely free from obstruction. |

Here's a view toward the pantry and storage area. Still open and colorful with a bold accent from the dark cupboards. |

It is impossible to be claustrophobic in an environment like this! |

The rear entrance is just as inviting as the front. Let's head outside! |

When it comes to relaxing, gathering around for a chat, or just watching the big screen above the fireplace, the den carries on the theme of dark accents with light and colorful walls. |

How about settling in with a good book with natural light from the window and a cozy location next to the fireplace. |

The hearth and the flat-screen tv provide dark accents, punctuated by the white mantel and storage shelves. |

Here's another shot back toward the kitchen and dining areas from the den. |

Joe Paul has considered every detail, from the portraits on the wall to the rug and flush-mounted wooden floor register. |

Here's another example of attention to detail with durability and functionality. Nothing beats granite. |
