| IN PROCESS: A new laundry room will make it a pleasure to do the wash! |

| IN PROCESS: This addition to the house takes advantage of the wonderful views. |

| IN PROCESS: The home already has several fireplaces. We'll turn them into show pieces. |

| IN PROCESS: Oh, yes! This will be a master bath that the lady of the house will never want to leave! Don't worry. Those windows will get some treatments for privacy. |

| IN PROCESS: The shower floor tile is in. This will be a fabulous walk-in shower when we're done. |

| IN PROCESS: His and Her vanity sinks will go here. But wait till you see the fixtures we choose! |

| IN PROCESS: The lower level of the addition will be home to a cozy new office and "girls' room" for momma and her friends. |

| IN PROCESS: The selection of stone and natural wood finishes are perfect for this rustic setting. |

| IN PROCESS: Outdoor living is all the rage! And in Michigan's cold climate, it's even more important to take advantage of the sunshine whenever you can. |

| IN PROCESS: The enclosed porch will run from the living room (right) to the master suite (left). |

| IN PROCESS: The home owners chose a trusted custom builder for this renovation. Joe Paul worked closely with the builder to create a home beyond everyone's expectations. |

| IN PROCESS: The view from the master suite will be spectacular, looking out to a private lake below. |

| IN PROCESS: The new entry to the home from the driveway that runs behind the house. The entryway is protected from Michigan's cold weather but remains open and inviting. Wait till you see the finished product! |

| IN PROCESS: Another look at the entryway. The original house and the addition will blend seamlessly. |

| IN PROCESS: The new porch you saw earlier will add depth and light to this front room. |

| IN PROCESS: This is work the homeowner had done previously, we will have the homeowners express themselves through color and art. |

| IN PROCESS: It takes time and patience to remodel your home, but it will definitely be worth it. |

| IN PROCESS: A view from the kitchen (the island in the center will be a one-stop cooking station) looking toward the new family room addition. |

| IN PROCESS: The family room will be flooded with light and we have some special plans for our new wood-burning fireplace. |

| IN PROCESS: The kitchen will be spacious. For most families, this room is the hub of activity. Entertaining and cooking will be easy. The days of half the dinner guests cramming into a small kitchen to chat while you prepare the meal are gone! Everyone will be able to help with the preparations or visit while the host and hostess get the meal ready. The tile floors will be spectacular! |
Prepare yourself for delight!
You're entering the "After" Zone.
Photos below show the completed project. |

| You'd scarcely believe this was the same room as before. It has become a veritible bouquet of color, texture, and rustic accent pieces without becoming crowded or cluttered. |

| From out-doors, the room now invites you in to warmth and comfort. Once inside, it draws you out through full-pane glass French entry doors with an added lite above the lintel. |

| All that's missing are six good friends and a fine French Bordeaux. |

| After dinner, you and your guests may choose to retire to the Sun Room for a relaxing chat while soaking in a marvelous view of the lake. Scroll down to the bottom for a look at this view. |

| We've panned left to give you a view toward the other end of the Sun Room. Light colors and soft texture blends give a feeling of freshness and comfort. |

Perfectly complementing it's outdoor surroundings, the drastically remodeled Living Room features a flat-screen home theatre coupled to a cozy stone fireplace. |

| A quick snack can be enjoyed on the way out of the living room on the way to the deck at this end of the house. |

| This view of the remodelled living room highlights the rustic accents contributed by the uneaven hearth stone and mantel, as well as the wood flooring and richly textured fabrics. |

| Looking into the living room from the Kitchen shows the smooth transition from a free-flowing curved granite island countertop, to the slate flooring that virtually "washes" onto the wooden plank flooring like waves breaking on the beach. |

| The bistro table and chairs make a nice spot for a tete-a-tete over a cup of tea. |

| Walking back into the living room we get this marvelous view into the kitchen area. In this one shot you can capture the "work triangle" that includes the gas cooktop on the island with the kitchen sink, the pantry, and the double oven with a dishwasher at the side. |

| Finishing out the work area is the huge commercial stainless refrigerator/freezer, with a stainless work surface to the left. Subtle task lighting abounds, putting illumination where it's needed without washing out the whole room in light. |

| Here's a great close-up of the oven and dishwasher area. Can you tell that Joe Paul has been consulted on kitchen design for prestigeous restaraunts? |

| Placing the range-top on the island with the sink has brought the work area out into the open where conversation and collaboration can take place. Usually these items face a wall, or at best a kitchen window. |

| The kitchen planning and communication area is slightly away from the work area to protect it from splash and oil, but it's still convenient to store the recipes and make out the shopping list. |

| If you like to cook, you're probably drooling right now. Granite and stainless work surfaces provide durability and easy maintenance. |

| Who said "stainless and tile" had to be boring? The organic color and texture of this tile contrasted with the smooth sheen of stainless steel says STYLE! |

| Here you've got a three-room shot! Over the top of the living room couch, through the kitchen, and into the dining room at the left. This house just flows! |

| This view down a short corridor to the remodeled half bath and utility area would normally be a boring one. Note how it comes alive with color blocking that leads the eye without seeming "busy". |

| Here's another example of how Joe Paul provides a brilliant spark of imagination to what could have been a very dull flooring transition. Is it a stone wave lapping onto a wooden beach? Or vice versa? |

| When is the last time you went over to someone's house, and another friend grabbed you by the arm, dragged you down the corridor, and said, "You gotta see their powder room!". |

This remodelled powder room is a delightful surprise from the bright colored walls and irregular tiled backsplash, to the mirror-finish triangular sink and gracefully arc'd mirror. |

| The renovated master bath is more subdued and elegant, featuring a sink that resembles a clamshell and a novel waterfall faucet. |

| Of course, the sinks must have "his" and "hers" sides. |

| No plastic tub-surrounds for those that prefer to take a shower. Instead, luxuriate with a walk-in shower and anticipate stepping out onto a floor warmed by a real wood stove! |

| Joe Paul has not forgotten those that prefer a thorough soaking in a tub with a view of the surrounding woods and wildlife. The towel rack sits next to the woodstove to provide toasty towels for your tootsies. |

| Let's take a look around the exterior of the remodelled home. A circle drive brings you to the door. Some would call this the "front" door, but we don't. You'll see why later. |

| The main entrance is sheltered from the brisk Holly Michigan winds, and irregular corners and set-backs of the house walls are softened by natural plantings. |

| Similarly, a natural-looking rock garden patio provides a cool and secluded place to relax on a hot summer's day. |

| Several decks overlook what we really consider to be the "front" of the home facing the lake. |

| Notice the high roofline, the numerous windows, and the deck chairs all looking out. What are they looking at? |

They are soaking up this view. It's the only one in this gallery that was NOT DESIGNED BY JOE PAUL. |
